The current plan for the third season of WWE's NXT program is to feature four male wrestlers and four women wrestlers from developmental vying for a main roster spot and a Championship opportunity. The reason for WWE adding Divas to the mix is because they’re running low on fresh stars from both sides of the roster in FCW.
The belief among most people in WWE right now is that their latest signing, current Ring of Honor Champion Tyler Black, will be featured as one of the 4 male competitors, but those plans could change between now and the start of the next season.
There’s still no word yet on where season three of the show will air once the current season ends on the SyFy network in 3 weeks, although there is talk that the show could take the form of a segment each week on either RAW or SmackDown if there's a case the company can't find a television network to air the program.
